Secret santa 🎅🏼 santas revealed! 2016

Welcome to my third year of hosting this wonderful event.

So far I've only had one hiccup and everyone pitched in to correct it and last year ran super smooth. Almost everyone who played last year had the Christmas spirit and was mellow and grateful and I appreciate it.

All that being said, be nice. Seriously, I won't tolerate anyone being nasty to anyone else. I will remove you from SS so fast, your head will spin. This is supposed to be fun for everyone. So, let's act like it.

The Rules

• You need to have been a member for at least six months with 500 posts OR 100 reps.
  
  
  This isn't done to be mean or exclusive. However I know the biggest reason I've had fun with Secret Santa in previous years is because I've known the person well enough to be able to know what they'd truly like and be excited to hear what they think about it. If you don't have enough posts/reps this for this years Secret Santa, we hope you can join us next year.
  
  
• You need to sign up by Sunday November 6.
  
  I am getting a later start than I would like this year. I would appreciate anyone adding the sign up thread as a link in their siggy while we're getting everyone signed up. I hate when everyone comes in after sign ups close and say, 'Darn! I missed sign ups again!' Let's get everyone in and playing.
  
  
• I will give everyone their SS name by Monday November 7th . That gives everyone a month to get some ideas together and get shopping.
  
  
• You will need to fill out the Secret Santa questionnaire found at the bottom of this post.
  
  
  
• Gifts will have to be shipped by Monday December 5th.
  
  This gives you four weeks to get your gift together and ready to ship. Noting from personal experience, the post office busts their tail to get packages delivered by Christmas, so I have full confidence if you get your gift out by the deadline, your SS will have your gift long before Christmas Day. I do this because a late shipping date the first year came around the time when a lot of people had other obligations and it made it difficult to get it out on time. The early shipping date should prevent all that and it worked out REALLY well last year!
  
  
• Once you get your gift in the mail, please send me the tracking number
  
  
• You must get a delivery confirmation and a tracking number just in case the gift gets lost in the mail or if there is any confusion about if the package has been delivered or not. You can submit your tracking number here through this form:

Just a tip for those of you who do not ship much, Regional Boxes with the post office allow you to fill that sucker up as heavy as you can get it for a flat rate depending on the region you are shipping to and includes free insurance up to $50 and free tracking. This form was created by me and will only be seen by me. It helps streamline everyone who is participating into a quick and easy list for me.

I will confirm that I have everything I need by PM also. You are NOT officially participating until you get a PM from me stating so.

As with every year, this address will only be seen by me and the person who is sending you the gift. Under no circumstances will your address ever be given out to anyone else. If it's found someone has given out another person's address they got from the Secret Santa they will be banned from this and future Secret Santas.

I can only put your name in the list of participants once I have received your shipping address. You can't sign up without without putting in your address, so there you have it.

I am upping the limit slightly. Spending limit is $25.00 plus shipping. (Last year was $20)


You will need to fill out the Secret Santa questionnaire found at the bottom of this post.
Please fill this out as much as you can. It will make it easier for your Secret Santa to find something you truly like if you answer it completely.


So you're excited to participate. What happens now?

1.) Sign up through the form link on or before Sunday November 6th if you want to participate. There will also be a list in the wiki of people who are participating. Please include your name there as well. I will add as I can as well.

2.) You will see a questionnaire in this post. Please answer those questions and make a new post with those answers. I, you, or someone will link your questionnaire post with your name in the wiki.

3.) You will receive the name and address of the person you get to play Secret Santa for on November 7th. Give me til the end of the day, crazy people. It takes me a while to match everyone and PM you all without messing up. When I PM you your SS's name, come here, click on the person's name in the wikipost to be taken to their questionnaire and what they've said they'd like.

4.) Get it all ready and ship by Monday Dec 5. Make sure to buy the delivery confirmation and tracking number. Please PM me OR fill out the tracking info google form instead that you have shipped it and the tracking number. USPS gives it free for online ordering.

5.) Please PM me when you have received your gift.

6.) Jump up and down with joy. A present!! You can post in the thread you received it and if you opened it (if you want to wait til Christmas, please do, but it's up to you and you don't have to), you can share what you got if you like. I know the people that bought for you like to see an appreciation post with pictures.

7.) After Christmas Day we can all tell everyone who we shopped for. It will also be updated in the wiki. Please try to keep secret as much as you can who you are shopping for.
