Some people get really bitchy about disability stuff. Like I have a tag for my car, so if I am hurting, I can park somewhere up close. If I feel good enough, I park further out because God knows I could use the exercise. This guy was talking to his friend as I was coming out of Kroger and made a comment about how people park in those spaces, but aren't in wheelchairs or whatever. I felt like saying something like "Yeah, but there are people like me who get shots in their back, who use shopping carts to lean on, who take 4 or 5 Aleve during the day to make it through and hope and pray they can get through the night without taking a major pain pill because they are scared of getting hooked. There are people like me who feel ok when they go in a store, but have had to call and have their husband or mom come and get them because half-way through shopping they were hurting so bad that one more step felt impossible." It just upsets me to think people think I might be less of a person because I am on disability or I have these issues sometimes. I do everything I can possibly do, and sometimes I pay for it dearly, but I have to.

some people are just jackasses, and don't think about what they say before they say it. I say screw them! The guy at Kroger was just an ignorant ass.

I wish I could. I might as well tell you all...I have a degenerative disk in my back, fibromyalgia, and the rheumatologist thinks rheumatoid arthritis. (on top of depression and anxiety issues) For this reason, some days I have a lot of pain (which is why I hurt so bad when I come home from the gym), and some days just mild or moderate pain, but I have SOME every day. We fought with an attorney for disability benefits, mostly for the medical card to help take up the slack on my insurance since I visit drs a lot. My disability isn't very much at all, and some months is zero. Well, I have to turn in Robert's pay stubs every month so they can calculate whether I am getting almost nothing, or nothing. I got a letter today that they needed them for the past THREE months....I had turned them all in and in all but August, they have mailed them back to me after inputting them! I call, and he's telling me he can't find August's anywhere....I brought them in on THURSDAY of last week. He said he DID see now where I brought in June and July. It's just getting to be a huge headache..they will tell me they don't have them when I know they do, they then will tell me that they have overpaid me and have to take the money back out of a future check, then miraculously find the missing stubs...they are just SUCH a pain in the ass. If I didn't need that medical as a secondary insurance so badly, I'd tell them to shove it up their ass. I get $100 a month, so it's not like I'm gonna get rich from them or anything. I am just getting really freaking tired of it.
