This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

Has this been happening to you alot, or just the one time? Seriously, if you are going to be a hard core couponer, you will have days when it doesn't go your way and you'll just have to let it go. The great deals we get all the time more than make up for a bad run here and there.

Are these toys as in toys or toys as in Durex products? Inquiring minds wanna know!!!

Good on you for getting in on the Borders deals; I hit it too late and they cancelled all my orders (too bad, too...it was for textbooks for grad school).

Farking asshats...between them and Best Buy with their faulty "elite status" Reward Zone email, I'm not having a good email week on the 'puter.
Oh its baby toys, everyone knows I buy tons of baby toys.

I did quite well for myself on the Borders deal, and I got in late too, but all mine went through and now I am pcikng up straggler backorders

A freezer that is filled completely uses less energy than one that is not filled. If you need to fill it, either throw some water bottles in there or even boxes filled with newspapers will help keep it work better. We don't use milk cartons in the freezer but I do know certain diaper boxes fit perfectly. Also copy boxes if you can get those free from work. (DH can)
The boxes will be helpful for efficiency, but the frozen water bottles would serve you better should you lose power for any length of time.

Just wondering how many of you are stay-at-home moms? This is the week I usually go back to work, but this year I am home with my son, who just turned four months on the 30th. Now I had planned on going back to work in October, but fate had other plans. I requested my maternity leave and it was board approved until the end of October (I was a member of the Child Study Team in a public school). So funnily enough, the week that I was leaving for my maternity leave (on Thursday) I was called in to the director's office and told that I would not be rehired for next year. This was at 9 AM on Monday. My work baby shower was at 11:30, so needless to say I was a bummed. I had been there for 2 1/2 years and had always gotten good reviews, but this director (who, coincidentally was "let go" two weeks later, karma much?) said that I had been unprofessional and that I didn't like my students. Funnily enough my first observation (before they knew I was pregnant) was perfectly fine. It was only the last two (after) that were bad. I also thought it odd that district was still willing to hire me to do summer testing and my supervisor offered to write me a letter of recommendation when I begin my job search. So anyway, I was really upset for a long time because I really loved working with my co-workers and the kids. So this September, it has been a little tough to see everyone back. Luckily, my husband is very supportive and our families are helping out with all mortgage and everything. The Target and CVS threads have helped out so much. I mean, I love being home with my son, he is such a sweet, wonderful baby, but sometimes I felt bad that I couldn't contribute to our family financially, so getting great deals that save us money or stuff to sell at our garage sales, made me feel like I could help us out monetarily, at least a little. So, thanks to everyone for all the deals and fun.

I did a double-take on your reply to the above quote. I thought you meant, "Durex is a baby's toy." EEK!

Hi there1 Dmomma 5 mg is the suggested kids dose of the generic Zyrtec. I take it daily but take 10 mg since I am a big kid.LMAO Long ago I mooched up and bought a pink bubble gum machine. We still have it. We set it so it works without $ . I also have a gum machine type red one with a long plastic dog bone for a handle. It holds small dog treats/bones from Petsmart. My ddoggies over the years have learned how to push down on the long dog bone plastic handle to get a treat! I wish couponing at Target getting treats was that easy/fun!laugh out loud

Happy Birthday to Liz!!!( mofome) You are precious! I am so glad you were born! Here is to hoping that your day is a great as you are! worship hug Smilie xooxoxoxoxoxooxxoxooxoxoxoxoxoxoxxooxooxoxoxoxoxxoxo
