All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

toaster oven. It's my best friend.

Ariel-I'm leaving the pump brochures for hubby to read over too. I know I'm scared to see it on my kid but his numbers the past few days are freakin me out. I can't imagine being on my toes like this every day, I'll have a heart attack before you know it.
I can't even pretend to imagine how difficult/scarey it would be to have a child with diabetes but I can tell you from experience in working with elementary aged students that have the pump that it is WONDERFUL. We have 3 diabetic students at our elementary school that all currently have a pump. I am responsible for their monitoring and corrections throughout the school day and I can say that they all are doing well with the pump. The pump is new to 2 of these students (within the past year) and their levels are so much more consistant now then prior to having the pump. The other child has been on the pump since she came to our building (as a K student) and I would say that in the 3 years I have worked with her, her numbers have been out of her normal range maybe a dozen times and most of those were while she was ill or having a growing spurt.

I watched one student go from having numbers all over the map on a daily basis to being quite consistant. I don't pretend to know much about diabetes or what is best for these kids, but from the experience I have had with these 3 kids, they appear to respond real well to the pump.

Whatever you decide, I will keep you in my thoughts.

OH. MY. GOD. I am so freakin happy to be home. I'm so far behind I don't know if I will ever catch up.

Got to meet littleteapot this week!!! Yay! She's super nice and sweet!! Double.....I just wanna say that it was raining all freakin day and without even looking at the pic I know I look supercrappy....lol

I don't even wanna think about unpacking the car. i'm not even sure what's in there anymore. lol

Highlights of my trip: I cut my hair super short, met pretzels and little teapot at T and did fabulous. Took my mom and sil in law to T. Can I just say that trying to do two runs at once is freakin tough?? Took my sil to K...uhm that's about it. It wasn't a very exciting trip and it was more draining than anything else. But I had fun shopping, just wish such a great gc deal wouldn't have been this week.

I didn't see it posted by littleteapot or pretzels but we found huggie's tq's on the yogurt....don't remember what kind? gogurt maybe?

I got my first two shutterfly books in the mail. I heart Shutterfly!

Ok, let me just say thank you to everyone for the awesome deals and coupons you post as well as the generous trades.
I have always felt that we have a very comfortable stockpile in case something were to happen to DHs or my income, that we would be able to make it a few months. We have 5 year old DDs who don't eat a lot, but still some laugh out loud
We will be having a "roommate" living with us...a close friend of the family will be moving in to help care for her grandfather who is struggling with cancer. I told her I would not charge her food or rent. I know with all the slickdeals I have been getting, and will continue to get, that is the least I can do for her.
So, again...because of all you awesome peeps, I feel like I can support more people on the same amount of income and not worry about where our next meal will come from. The best part, we have an "understanding" that she helps with laundry, cleaning, cooking and childcare...woot

Deal related: I found the Archer Farms all natural green tea (bottled) on TPC for $.80 today (thru 9/29). With the AF tea coupon, the bottles end up costing $.30. They have different flavors and are quite tasty. Not real sweet either.

Well crap. Just watched the news, Hanna is coming our way. We are forcasted 2-5 inches of rain and winds up to 50 mph. I live near the creek that floods when we get a heavy rainfall of up to an inch of rain, so this rain is going to be bad.

Of course the road I take to Target runs right along the creek, and I had a run all planned and everything.

On a happy note. I had a very lovely run at Target tonight, had to throw a gc in to make things look pretty.

I had one of those "OH MY GOSH" moments this morning. I have been busy couponing and going out for deals for the last few weeks. This morning I walked downstairs and looked at my house EEK! Seriously, every room was horrible!! How could I let my kids live like this? I don't know if I didn't see it or what. You know how when you are around something every day it just doesn't seem to change in your mind? I spent the entire morning sick with anxiety of having someone unexpectedly show up at the door (remnants of foster care days....sound familar, Barb? Wink ) and see my tornado of a mess everywhere. I frantically cleaned for hours. I put the baby on the carpet with some rattles and teethers and cleaned, cleaned, cleaned. My toddler (she is 3 now, I guess she's a preschooler now :sniffSmilie was begging for attention "play games with me Mommy! color with me!" I felt so bad, but figured a day of cartoons wouldn't hurt her. The house HAD to be cleaned....

I just can't seem to get the knack of balancing stuff. I can either do really well at shopping, really well at cleaning, or really well at being super fun Mommy. I've been doing this for years but still can't balance it all out!

Sorry, don't know how to quote!!!

wave I found a great web site that helps you clean and organize in just a few minutes a day. it is flylady.net. It has helped me out a great deal with getting everything under control. Hope this helps some of you!!!

Me and dh are about the same height as you guys too! So I'm guessing dd will be on the short side lol

I second that on the hair!! lol I had just cut my hair the day before and didn't bring my straightener and it wouldn't have mattered with the rain anyways. my hair + rain = super frizz!!

I just recently discovered this website and I LOVE it!! It has actually helped me get a little more organized - Love the "shiny sink" habit! I try to keep up with this one alone and I feel better every morning.... challenging with a 15 year old that eats all night long, but he's getting the hang of it too Stick Out Tongue.

I want to just say Crying2 that Pretzels and I will NOT be traveling to see Ariel and bblueskye next week afterall... Sadwalk.
