When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! Do you have life insurance for your kids?
Quote from thuctrang :
They are riders on my policy. Usually, kids shouldn't have a policy, b/c they have neither income nor debt. Life insurance is need to take care of your debts in the event that your family loses an income earner.

I tell my DH that - He is worth more DEAD than alive. Evil (of course, he's not laughing.)
Quote from skynsam :
Only thing you're missing with life insurance - it helps pay for costs associated with the death of a person. Young or old, a death means funeral costs... which can be very costly Frown
I have Gerber Life on all 4 of my kids -- I dont think they are 'the debt' but I would be...I dont save $$$ so rould not be able to cover funeral costs & most of all I/we would not be able to work...I have it as a just in case.

The policy is for 4 kids $10k each & DH & I each have $50k term -- Our monthly payment is $51.00. I know that is a lot (we also have addition plans for us too) but I just cant imagine how I would react & for how long so its my safety ner. make sense?

Quote from tots05 :
Doublesided, 3 years ago DH decided to switch our landline from AT&T to a voip service... from paying around 40+, we were down now to 15 a month. ...............
I gave up on the phone bill too. I got the magic jack -- i HATE it but Im never on the phone anyways -- we live in NC but our phone number is from AZ. The magicjack works out to be $2.50 a month for the 1st 2 years. I used to pay nearly $50 for a phone line that I never used -- in a "bundle package" from internet prov.

I am so sad tonight, the kitty lovers will understand.

I have 3 cats (had 4, but 1 was put down last yr), and they are a part of my family.

Anyway Jasmine my 19 yr old black kitty, started losing weight before we went on vacation. She has been dropping weight, but still up and around and didnt seem to be in any pain. I just figured she was starting to feel her age. Well within the last week she has been sleeping under Dh's desk a lot.

3 days ago I saw her and she had some matted fur on her cheek, but she was drinking so I didnt think anything of it. Dh tried to wake her up under her desk later that night and she wouldnt respond until he petted her. Today she came down and got up on the couch and gave me a look, the please help me look. That is when I saw it. She has what appears to be a large gumball mass on her cheek, and a huge mass on her side.

The thing grew in 3 days. I am so brokenhearted. I feel like crap for not taking her to the vet sooner, but she was just an old kitty, know what I mean. Now she has a huge tumor growing and her eyes said it all to me. Also when I call her she doesnt come any more, I think she is deaf now as well. All in a few weeks.

I am taking her in tomorrow. I have been crying half the night. I will miss my old girl.

thanks for listening to me ramble
hug I'm so sorry. Thats the hardest part of loving our pets.

There is Vonage and other VOIP companies that only cost around $25 per month for unlimited calling in the U.S., Canada and Europe.

The one that I have (Lingo) is unlimited to all of the above, plus Australia and a few Asian countries. I do make lots of calls to family in those places so it's the best thing for us.

I love how you only have 1 bill each month (less and $30) and no worries about long-distance calls. bounce

When I visited my sister-in-law in Canada, I did the switch for her too. So she can call us for free and her bill is way less.

trying to plan my son's 7th bday party next month. I DO NOT want it here. no where else is cheap, though! any ideas? we are thinking park, chuck e cheese... looked into some of those inflatable jumper places, or family fun parks, but they are like $25/child...gag...
We've had all of my son's at the city park. We rent the pavillion ($50), and there's a playground for the kids to play on. I gave my son the choice of having it at the park or chuck e cheese this year, and he chose the park. It's an idea if your city has parks and a pavillion you can rent. Usually I cook food and lug it to the park. This yr I went super easy and ordered pizzas! laugh out loud

We have several kitties, and it always really (REALLY) bothers me to have something happen to one of them. We've taken in several FHIV cats so you kinda know it's coming, but still...

I'm so sorry for you and your family Stormy; accept my family's sincere condolences on the loss of your Jasmine.

She lived a good long life---I know that doesn't help right now---and I pray that all of ours should be so lucky!!!

hug

Thank you for the info on Lingo Thuctrang Smilie It looks interesting specially if I can get an international phone number.. too bad the country I wanted is not yet available... soon hopefully. I'll keep an eye on this one. The one we have now is Teleblend (after the Sunrocket Bankruptcy thing) which is still ok but if I can make international calls for cheap, I would love to get that instead... nod

News said to expect about 80 mph in Houston. You should be ok, stay away from windows though if you didn't tape them.
