This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

I was so bugged by the fact that I did not get the $4 catalina at Meijer for the Powerade Zero that I dreamed about it - clear as day. I went to the front desk the next day and calmly explained the deal to the lady and she nicely gave me $4. laugh out loud Yeah right laugh out loud

So I called Catalina because I wanted to see if I could do anything about the missing catalina (never called before). I got a pretty nice guy and he looked up the deal in his "notes" (so not sure if that is "official" info. or not). He said the promotion was listed through 9/28 but that it did not mean the catalina would generate through that date. He said that date was the expiration date for the last catalinas that were produced. He said they stopped being produced on 9/14? Has anyone else every heard of that, that the "through" date was not really when they would continue to be generated.

Can anyone verify if they got one at Meijer after this date? Thanks.

I don't think I am meant to get free Powerade laugh out loud

Kat - there is a thread in Hot Deals, created by bluedevil, and people are reporting Catalinas are printing for them. I haven't started the deal yet this week. If you can , redo it again at a dfferent register to see if it was just a one-time thing.

Can always do return at CS or get $4 while you're there.

I will try again - it sounded a little "off" the way he described it. THANKS. Smilie

Oh well, all is not lost, found .75/1 blinkies for clorox clean up or toilet bowl cleaner and 3.00 peelies on Airwick Luminaires, and the bogo halls.(coded 14) so a good deal for the cold season coming up.

So I sat & thought about my 'call-out' a T yesterday.....
....Im noticing that A LOT of people get angry w/ me for paying so little fo so much - ANYWHERE I shop.

My theory: We have minimum wage employees checking our orders...I can see how thier jealousy could turn into resentment towards me/us. They slave away doing a remedial redundent task serving most likely nasty people day after day w/ little more than a crappy paycheck to show for it.

But instead of trying to learn the ways or be happy for me that I'm smarter then the "Man" they seek revenge.

I get that alot too, but alot of the time the cashier will say 'I need to start doing that'. It's the middle aged to older women who give me the hardest time. I hate going through their lines. They don't think you should get so much for so little, or their just plain jealous, I haven't figured it out yet.

I had 12 items at my grocery store yesterday - 10 yogurt cups and 2 nailsaver sponges. After spending 15 minutes in the line of doom, took me 5 minutes to check out. Our store has a 29 cent yogurt store coupon out this week, limit 10. I printed a $1/8 yogurt coupon. Old frumpy Frannie says "you can't do this, this coupon is for 8, this other one is for 4" ... where does it even say 4 on it?! While she was arguing with me over that, she didn't notice that the sponges made me money shake head

I thought Texas had everything!

Acme is also Albertsons in some parts, its one of our larger grocery stores. This week Rice a roni is free after coupon, and some other stuff too. Plus they have a bonus card, and there are certain offers taht you look up.

Once there was Edy's ice cream on sale for 2.50 ea (great price in itself) my bonus card had 2.00 off and I had a 1,00 off mfc. They paid me to take it home.

laugh out loud I've got one at my Publix that is a New York transplant (nothing against New Yorkers, things are just slower down here in the south)..anyway, everytime I come in w/ q's, she huffs and puffs and just acts irritated to have to deal with them. Last time I just stared her down for a few minutes and then I asked her, do you have something against coupons? Is it too much trouble for you to scan them? laugh out loud she was stuttering all over herself...uhh, no, I used to use them myself (uh huh, you're jealous cause you never used them like I use them)...
