Me too! Never heard that one before LOL

Speaking of funny words for things.....
Do any of you have a gym membership that you pay for every month and don't use??? We do! I was talking to my friend the other day about it and she has a phrase for it - because she has the same problem.

She calls it her "fat tax". I busted up right in the pedicure chair.

Thanks for the reminder...I def. forgot to cancel my fat tax lol. We're trying to cut excess out of our budget....we want to quit wasting money on stupid stuff and spend it on cool stuff lol.

Glad you guys liked my phrase...I say it more often than I should lol.

Can i just say that im totally banging my head against the wall right now....an hour in target and had to abandon my cart...oh because of a cashier your thinking??? noooo b/c if i didnt i was going to have a nervous break down in the middle of T. For the love of god please tell me that this "stage" my two and a half year old is going through is just that. It's like how do you take control of the situation when your kid flat out ignores you?????? And I hate that stare.....the control your kid stare. Yea ok and if i spanked my kid you would be the first person to scream abuse so go eat a d*ck.

I think the problem is I was blessed with a very strong willed child and I'm a pushover. Admitting it is half the battle right??? lol. I'm counting the minutes until dd goes to bed so i can frantically dash to T and kmart to make up for the time and stuff I missed out on today.

Oh and i found a tq for ore ida hash browns today...and now i cant find the freakin mfq i had to go with it!!!

I have $2 off lemon lime soda and $1 fruit that expire 9/30...i have like 3-4 of each to roak so if you can use them within that time frame pm me!
Make sure your child knows that you are in charge, not them, else just wait until the wonderful teens come about and they start pushing you around! Let them know from the get-go that you are in charge until they leave home.

Teach your child the rewards system for good behavior.

I and all my siblings rememeber the belt very clearly. It was done in such a way that it didn't leave marks - clothes on.

I think the shout is around $3, but the trial wipes are only $1 Smilie

We should cancel too, but we won't. Hopefully maybe somebody will start using it this winter ($90 a month - OUCH!)

Oh man I wish it was that easy. Even my mom who thinks dd can do no wrong will tell you she is a very strong willed child. It's not a control issue with her. She just doesn't listen. lol

Gyms are such a waste of money! If you want to lose weight, count your cals and walk and exercise. 20 mins a day.

Ok, don't take this personally, but I'm just gonna say it.

If life was that easy we'd all be skinny and our kids would all be the next president of the usa....but that's not life. and I'm pretty sure pretzels is the last person who needs to lose weight!

We like this gym because it has a huge walking/running track inside - nice for the winter when there is just too much snow and crap on the ground to easily walk/run outside. We aren't really in it for losing weight - more of keeping in shape. It is a family membership, so I can't quite compare it to Jen's $30. Smilie

Maybe when your strong-willed child becomes President (and yes - this is why she is what she is now LOL) she will have you scared sh*tless and running from her. Then you'll be super skinny! laugh out loud

LMAO! And then someday we'll see Jen on TV being interviewed: "I remember when she was 2 and I had to leave Target b/c she just wouldn't listen to me. . . "

lol $90 for a family membership is a really good price esp. if it has a big track. Ours is a local chain gym and it's pretty decent, but no big track....no pool either Frown

Ok, Kmart people - I tried the Kleenex Q today and it DIDN"T work... Mad

I bought 2 packs of Scott paper towels (yes, it' Kimberly Clark, but I didn't check the UPCs). The Q prompted for price. Confused What did I do wrong????

For those of you who had problems with the Febreeze BOGO not autodeducting, I know why. Evil

(p.s. I can only answer PMs that I recognized)
Think it's the barcode, I believe Scott is 54000, and Kleenex, Kotex, Cottonelle, etc. are 36000.

you're not the only one, Jen. hug
sometimes ds does the exact same crap, and he is 6. the other day i went into kohls and we didn't take 5 steps through the door before he decided to pull a random tantrum. throwing himself on the floor, screaming, kicking.. etc. with nothing to instigate it.

i decided there was no way i was going to continue on so we just went straight back out the door. (and went back later that evening and he was MUCH better behaved)
but for sure i thought i would just die from all the looks and stares we got like "hmm.. she must abuse her kid for him to be screaming like that" or "gee she's a horrible parent!" or other such crap.

so yeah, with ds its hit and miss. most often i leave him home with dh nowadays because his behavior right now is so unpredictable. he's at the age where he is testing his limits of defiance. and worse, he KNOWS i can't do anything about it in public - he does not act like that at home (thank god). it just does not work well for me when i'm trying to put deals together in the store, much less survive checkout while attempting to keep him under control and from climbing out of the cart and running around the entire store. shake head

but anyway i know exactly how you feel - somewhat victimized by your own kid while other customers give you the looks of death. thankfully these stages are not supposed to last forever. its just trying to survive the worst times that sometimes gets the best of us. laugh out loud
