Seriously, though, my sister took this for awhile...until she figured out that it did the same thing Olestra does. There was a prescription med a few years back that did the same thing, but I can't recall the name; it may be what Alli is now.

I need to lose (more than) a few pounds, but I'm NOT going this route, no matter how well it works---we eat too much red meat and such.

IMHO, this "side effect" (or is that "end effect"?) is one of the worst as far as weight loss drugs are concerned.
Xenical is the prescription name brand and is not covered by insurance. Runs about $2-3 a pill! Alli is the OTC version, but it is only 60mg, half the dosage of the prescription name brand.

You learn real fast what foods to avoid and when you got to go, you better go right then!

If you take this stuff, It's be very wise to put down a towel where you sit, chair, couch, car seat. Also, take an extra set of underwear and pants!

How much is Alli and does CVS carry it?

I believe they are all in the weekly thread. But these are all super-simple deals:

Crest mouthwash is the same deal that's been going on all month: buy the Pro-Health MW (500 mL) for $4.49, get $4.50 RR. (I ran out of MQs on these, so I didn't use any, but there were some in the last P&G.)
Hi! Went to Wags today to try the Crest MW, and wasn't sure of the exact one I was supposed to get. I looked for ones that were $4.xx, but didn't see any! They started at like $5.49 or something. Frown Thanks for the exact one I'm supposed to look for. I'll try again at a different Wags tomorrow. Smilie

Found out the Energizer hearing aid batteries went up by a $1. Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Do different Wags have different prices for the same products? Thanks.

Did not find any peelies on the Glade stuff. Darn. But did see that the Addidas deorderent were $1.99 with store coupon and there are $1 MQ's to make them $0.99 each. They are normally $4.50 ~ish each. Don't know if that would interest anyone. Smilie

Sorry for the OT!! Embarrassment

Hey--- The Crest MW is on "mega-saver" -- their term for a sale that goes the whole month-- for $4.49. But it may not have been marked at your store. If you are in doubt, you can always ask a cashier to price-check something. The correct item will ring up at $4.49.

And, yeah, you may find different WAGs have slightly different "regular" prices on things, though the sales should be national-- or nearly so. I've heard the Bay Area in CA doesn't get all the same deals the rest of the country does. (Doesn't really seem fair since COL is so high there anyway.)

ETA: I also haven't seen any of those fab Glade peelies, oh well.

It goes through the end of this week (9/27). I did it (and the Nabisco, and the Reach TBs) this morning; all printed. Paid w/2 Reach MQs, a $10 Robi RR and $3.13 OOP.

Nabisco: the ad says buy 2 Nabisco cookies (Oreos, Nutter Butters, Chips Ahoy, Cakesters, etc.) for $5 AND a gallon of milk, get a $3 RR. But Secret you don't have to buy the milk. Again, I didn't have any MQs. Frown

Reach tooth brush: buy 2 Reach Ultraclean TB or toothfloss for $5, get $5 RR. There were $1/1 any Reach TB MQs in the 6/8 RP inserts, exp. 9/30. I had to search for these-- they were up with the overstock stuff way up high-- must be a new product. Just make sure you get the exact ones pictured in the ad.

Yes, CVS does carry it - the starter pack is about $60. I only know that cause I was selected to do the Alli houseparty and rec'd a coupon for a free starter kit - up to $60! Sweet! Actually, there might be a 90-pk smaller package that is around $45.

Ok you guys - I'm a total Reese's Peanut Butter freak - ok, just peanut butter out of the jar is quite tasty to me.... well - I think I may have a new favorite, or at least a close second. My DS baked a chocolate cake and he's not a real big fan of frosting and I don't "need" it so I never buy it - feelin' like I wanted a little something on top of my cake I plopped on a scoop of peanut butter... oh my God! Y*U*M-O*!!!

All nuts. Peanuts aren't actually a nut, they are a legume. But I'm allergic to them. To coconut and strawberries as well.

I haven't found a nut that I'm not allergic to, 5 ER trips in as many years, I avoid them and the oils of them like the plague. It's business lunches/trips that do me in, you ask, they say no, OK, oh wait---and that's it. I don't even go to bakeries anymore.

I just found one lonesome Special K token for their "Jeans" promo-- which is really a $10 check promo.

If anyone out there happens to be needing one, just LMK and it's yours.

Likewise with the PopTarts tokens. I still have 2 of the free book tokens and 1 of the soccer ball ones, free to a good home.
