All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! Is there a difference? LMAO

Depends on the person's viewpoint - I think of myself as a "stockpiler, but others, who sees my garage, think I'm a "hoarder".

To me - "stockpiling" is for EMERGENCY purposes (in case of hurricane, tornanoes and D-Day Big Grin ), and "hoarding" sounds like a swear word (there's a rhyme to that "bad" word too). Rofl2

.
.
For me the difference is I stockpile only items we use alot of. It makes sense to buy 200 of something if we use it, It makes sense to buy 200 if it makes you money, but only if you turn around and resell it or donate it, It is NOT stockpiling if you keep crap you wont every use, that is hording.

I haven't yet caught up for the AM... Anyone used the Yesterday's news free kitty litter yet? Man, that stuff should be called Yesterday's Poos instead - it stinks!!! vomit
I haven't gotten my q yet, I have used this in the past, it is recommended after a surgery, like getting your animal fixed, or declawing(we had a cat done for medical reasons, not cosmetics) also sometimes if your cat gets a urinary track infection. For general use YUCK!
So I want my q so I can donate to the SPCA for all those cats that get fixed in there care.

Oh yea, forgot about the selling part. laugh out loud That is ALWAYS a great reason (excuse?!) to buy loads of something. Honestly, though, my stockpile sales have always been such a blessing to us financially, and have helped validate my shopping habits. nod I always figure, in having sales like that, you are doing you and your family a favor, PLUS you are helping others who don't have the time/energy/addiction to shop like this - you are actually HELPING the economy! I agree. easy enough. we actually decided that if that hospital stuff doesn't go through, we're just going to set up payment plans directly with everyone so we don't do the cc thing. we don't like debt, we are savers.

I'm takin a lunch break but wanted to log on quick to tell you that DH called and said he found a tearpad at the local Mobil for $1/2 Gatorade. He only took a couple as I haven't been buying much of it but wanted to let you know to be on the lookout

I can't stand our Goodwill, either, mainly because of the prices - I can understand slightly higher prices on the stuff they get from Target, 'cause its NEW, but stuff people donate is SO ridiculously over-priced. Clothing items are completely over the line - liek $6 for skirts/pants, $5 for shirts?!? EEK! If I shop sales carefully, I can get stuff from New York & Company, Old Navy, Penneys, even Macys for that price! Why in the world would I want to paw through racks of used clothing to spend that kind of money?!

But I do have to say - our Goodwill does have people working there, not all of them handicapped, but definitely people who would be hard-pressed to find jobs elsewhere. People who have been through rehab, homeless, etc. Almost everyone on the sales floor is like that. I think its cool, and nice to see them have an opportunity to better themselves in an honest, hard-working sort of way.
Yep, though remember not everything on the Target Salvage Pallets is new (clearance salavge - 90% off). Some of it is from Guest returns. Hazzardous items do not get donated to Goodwill. Basically these are items with chemicals in them that could require special cleanup. Upon a tour, I've seen whole pallets of notebook paper, including spirals go to Goodwill! Once saw a whole pallet of XM radios get loaded into a Goodwill truck!!! Now you know they only paid about $50 for that pallet, but it had to have been worth at least $2-3K!!! O.O

Now, I don't kow if you've ever seen the Goodwill side of things when these Salvage Pallets come in from the various stores, but they have people waiting on the dock, ready to bid on the Salage Pallets! O.O

One GW driver I spoke with was a younger white guy that had a few tats and was in his early 20's. He said that he'd got into some serious trouble in his late teens and had to serve time for his crime, but that he was trying to get his life back on the right track. You could tell that he was just a little bit astranged. He said it was a bit rough being a driver cause he was one of their best so they had him driving all over the city as they had so many stores wanting to sell them their salvage pallets.

Hi Barbs, your bunny is so cute Smilie

I am determined no matter what that dd's teeth be well taken care of. My mom couldnt afford dental when we were growing up so we rarely got to go. The dentist said we dont have to take her until she's 3. does that sound about right?
Our dentist said the same thing last time we were there. Then last month, on DS well baby check up, the doctor said he's ready to see a dentist coz he's now three. So, we set up an appointment for him with our family dentist. I don't know what to expect but hopefully he won't be terrified or something Smilie

By popular demand I am posting a photo of dbunny. He is so sweet and litter box trained. He is a smoocher and gives kisses a lot. He rarely comes to his name. He always comes when we say "bunny treat!",so the kids want to change his name to that! He is a european "mutt" rabbit per the vet. We think he has some Rex rabbit in him.He thinks he is a dog.. our 17.5 yr young ddoggie thinks he is human ,and our dfosterd's think there is a money tree in our yard! Everyone but me thinks I am the maid.

Hi Barb - thanks so much for sharing the pic of Dbunny and the story. Dbunny is sooo cute!

Between 2.5 and 3 is the recommendation I've heard. DS is almost 2.5 and I'll probably make an appt for him in a few months. They don't do much during the first visit or two... just count teeth and make sure there are no major problems. Mostly it is to get them used to the dentist...

Quote from littleteapot :
are you talking about the one with the older couple and the woman kept everything. They sold it and it took like 2 warehouses??? That one scared me. I can see myself 30 years from now like that. vomit
That was a freaky episode. The warehouses of stuff was insane!

Sorry you havent found it. But your dog is sure cute - hope the hugs help! Smilie

Quite obviously, I am talking about NEW items, meaning items in packaging, meaning unopened items. Stuff like junk from the dollar spot, patio furniture, etc. I would NEVER buy the boxed-up furniture from Goodwill, as you're just asking for trouble, with missing pieces, hardware, etc.

And not sure if you're trying to say "deranged" or "strange", but "astranged" is NOT a word. "Estranged" is, but is certainly not applicable in this situation.
