Yep, WAG is tightening the noose on couponers... I have noticed that trend in recent weeks.

Today, I tried to give them my RR 1st and the cashier told me that she has to take RRs AFTER all other coupons. Then, at another store, the manager told me the same thing. Her reason? The RR takes off taxes and we aren't allowed to to that. EEK!

They must have had a big conference on this issue and it is now a standard procedure.

In that case, the new $5/20 is only good on FAR items = junk Q! Mad

And, the double dipping is hard to do if they are tough about Q acceptance. It was fun when it's easy, but I don't need the aggravation...

I agree Walgreen's is taking the fun out of their store coupon and they are punishing those who use coupons. Good thing this coupon is only for a $20, as that is more reasonable after coupons than say $30 or $40. Again I just don't get what the big deal with MQ's is, since they get reimbursed anyway. The person who used to be a Walgreen's employee really summed it up best I guess when they said that each store has a cost/profit ratio to determine bonuses for employees at the store. The total of coupons used is not calculated in the profit part for this number, so profit then is extremely low on our sales. Of course coupons are figured in as some part of profit at a higher level, but this method screws the individual store. That is in part why the stores don't like the coupons, and you kinda a little bit can't blame them as this is tied to their bonus. Who wants to be a manager in a high coupon use store?

Well I know if I was a retailer I would rather have a person come in and spend $100 and use $50 in reimbursable coupons, then a person come in and spend $60 with no coupons used. Just seems like common sense to me. Walgreen's should not punish their employees and customers for coupon use, since they not only get reimbursed for the coupons they get handling fees.

To spend $20 I plan on buying 3 Pepsi 12 packs for $11 of at least 1 $20 and then probably the free October Rebate items. I guess I will do the pert for September rebate using the Oct coupon. Also I remember the space bags I bought and September also has that rebate again if I can find the bags to buy. I could spend $20 a few times, but this not is nearly as good a deals as it used to be. I guess they will lose some trips from me with the way the coupon is worded, because I always use lots of MQ's to bring my total way down. If I can't do that with this coupon I may as well shop at Walmart or Target. Walgreen's is never a store I would shop at unless the item is on sale, and preferably with a coupon, because they are usually much more expensive. Now I guess it is time to plan tomorrow's trips.

I hope it's through this week. I have $115 in RR to spend and about half expire today. I tried to reload my giftcard with $90, and bought $25 of other things. Had 12 RR and 13 items. It was a no-go. First I was told only 1 MQ / transaction. I explained they changed it on the coupon. Still no, the store made that policy. Finally I convinced him to read the coupon, so he said to put them through. They all went through, but she missed 2 $10 RRs! I had her go through them again, then another manager came up. Said only 1/transaction. I explained the wording. He wouldn't budge. Then he saw I reloaded a gift card and said absolutely not. I told him to void my order, I'd buy my free Glade, and then I would be shopping at the new CVS store opening in our area on Sunday. I had 2 other customers agreeing with me. I hate it when they don't know how to deal with coupons!!!
Does Walgreen's hope our RR's expire before we use them?

I took DD in for her "4" month physical. LOL, she hasn't seen a dr since she was 2 weeks old. She hit 5 months last week. I DID take her to the health dept and get some shots last month, since the dr couldn't fit me in until now...

She's 17 lbs and 27.5 inches. More importantly the dr is filling out referral forms for both a pediatric eye dr and an ear, nose, and throat specialist. I really didn't want to face that reality that she needs to go get evaluated by these people. It's nothing major but still has some things that are not "normal" (muscles underdeveloped or something...).

I am sooo nervous. I hate seeing specialists. Makes me feel anxious...but I have been worrying about these things for a few months so at least maybe the specialist consolutations will make me feel better....

just needed tget that out...
I am so sorry that your family is going through all this! Try not to worry to much! I will keep you all in my Pray hug

Hi Barb - thanks so much for sharing the pic of Dbunny and the story. Dbunny is sooo cute!

Uh-oh - potential overlap alert Wink I promise I won't take peelies from any stores in SC county if you promise not to take any from stores in SM county Big Grin

Between 2.5 and 3 is the recommendation I've heard. DS is almost 2.5 and I'll probably make an appt for him in a few months. They don't do much during the first visit or two... just count teeth and make sure there are no major problems. Mostly it is to get them used to the dentist...

That was a freaky episode. The warehouses of stuff was insane!

Yeah, I've been wondering where you've been too LTP. You haven't been on as much as usual (and I miss you when you're gone Crying2 - I even said "poo" this morning and nobody commented on it)

Sorry you havent found it. But your dog is sure cute - hope the hugs help! Smilie

I may end up doing the same thing... unless Barb can use it for Dbunny...

I promise I won't take any from SM county. I rarely venture over the county line Smilie

hug I am so sorry. I hope everything works out okay. At least they are being proactive early, when it matters hug

when my son was 2 weeks old, he was in and out of Pediatric Cardiac doc's for tachycardia, etc. We ended up fine and you would never know anything now (he's 7).

My dd started having gastro. problems at 2 weeks and went through a battery of tests, etc. She has food allergies now but all the other problems are okay. She is also waiting for a referral for speech therapy. Frown

Our kids are the shortest route to gray hair and stress related heart-attacks...they have shaved years off my life with worry. hug nod

I do not need the toys either...I need the overages...I want to get enough to buy Christmas gifts...(well at least thats what I am telling myself). Black Friday is coming soon...

Playskool Peelies will be gladly excepted here!!!!! Im thinking about getting the SW plane tickets.. I want to visit my aunt in NJ and go see THe Color Purple before it leave broadway.

Kmart is my new found home...
nod I hear ya on the overages....I need to buy another house....(well we know the problem w/that one)
I now have bags piled in my car b/c I am out of room. There is no place to store anything. I have stacks of tubs already..attic & garage are full.
I like your plan about Christmas gifts...funny I made a list of all the stuff we had & who is getting what. I should have Christmas covered for the next 3 yrs. laugh out loud

Color Purple will be here next week...was going to see it but DH is like you would rather see it on Broadway. It may not be there when I got to NY on business. Weeping
Gosh..you guys are sooo lucky with all the great KM stuff/deals going on.
Is there a Kmart in Key West LMAO

Quote from doublesided :
I agree. easy enough. we actually decided that if that hospital stuff doesn't go through, we're just going to set up payment plans directly with everyone so we don't do the cc thing. we don't like debt, we are savers.
*SNIP*
That's what we did too but when they say the longest they will go is 6mons & you need to pay 10-20% 1st..that is when you have to use the CCs.. I did not want to do that at all. I mean to pay off $10k over 6mons is tough for most.

We went every route trying to do payment plans. They are getting tighter with those too.
I remember when you could pick your payment date & way to pay..now they don't want to do that...they want to give you the date & it has to be auto deducted.

I hope you have better luck than we did. Having to deal with that is sooo not fun at all. It is a full time job in itself and drains everything out of you.
Glad those days/bills are behind us.

Sorry y'all. After I posted about the double-dipping deals at WAG this week, it looks like some of the ones peeps were interested in won't be happening.

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=13091603&postcount=214

Both the Nutripals and Energizer battery Qs from Sept./Oct. have the same bar codes, so they are the same Q and won't take off twice.

I'm so sorry I posted all about this and got you all excited.

But, with the $5/$20 Q, there are still some good deals to be had.
Weeping That sucks. It isn't going to be as slick of a deal... Darn. Thanks though.

thanks for the kind thoughts, ladies!

good luck at the u/s!!

did y'all get Rebecca from www.couponandforms email?

"Boy oh boy -- Did I ever goof. The last supply of Electrasol $2.25
coupons that I received got lost on my desk -- and I just discovered
my mistake. I have several hundred of these coupons that expire on
October 5. I have reduced the handling fee on these to 10h/f each
and a package of 20 of these coupons coupons is $1.50. This would be
a great time to stock up on dishwashing detergent. There are lots of
other great deals on the website to throw in with the Electrasol.
Kroger is giving a $4 off your next shopping order with every Glade
Wisp flameless candle purchase and they have reduced the price of the
candles to $8.99 and I have $5 Glade Wisp coupons on the website --
Makes for free candles -- $8.99 minus $5 coupon minus $4 off your next
shopping order coupon = Free Candles. Kroger also has the Glade
Scented Gel Warmers on sale for $1.89 and for each one you purchase
you get a $2 off your next shopping order -- which means FREE Glade
Gel Warmers -- but to make the deal a little sweeter -- I have
B1G1Free Glade Gel Warmer coupons on the website which amounts to
making $1 on each of these deals. They are allowing multiple
purchases of these Glade products with each transaction"

Huh. wonder if my Kroger family store is also doing this... I HATE buying peelies though....
