We currently have a old (20-30 year old) spring mattress with a topper pad on it. My wife and I have never had any other mattress, will we hate the memory foam?
We have 3 dogs that enjoy sleeping with us, how does this handle with 3 dogs always jumping up on it? Will the claws rip this thing to shreds?
Is there a return policy? I know casper offers free returns, I thought about getting this but it might be a few weeks before we could get something to put this on(currently have a queen and want to upgrade to a king).

Zinus told me their policy on return is basically donate it and they would refund me... Amazon I think will send you another if there is an issue
We placed the mattress on our old (but still in excellent shape) box springs. Mattress works just fine sitting on those. Although eventually I will be upgrading the base to something made for memory foam mattresses.

We had a 6 inch green tea memory foam topper, in the beginning it took awhile to get used to. Once we did it was heaven! I do not have pets but seeing as you put sheets over it I do not think dogs would cause any issues.
We unexpectedly had to throw ours away and it took us a really long time to relearn how to sleep without it! We purchased a new plush top mattress and opted to not get another memory foam topper....I do miss it still sometimes!

We have three large dogs and they are always jumping on the bed. The foam mattresses always have held up well. If you're worried, you can cover them with a mattress pad to give a bit more protection.
You really should replace your old mattress. Do you know the amount of dead skin and dust mites that gather after all this time {Shudder}
memory foam does feel different than an inner spring bed. It took me about a week to get used to it. Now I would never trade for an inner spring.

memory foam does feel different than an inner spring bed. It took me about a week to get used to it. Now I would never trade for an inner spring.
Our 55 pound black lab sometimes sleeps with him and there have been no issues with her claws ripping into the foam. The mattress took shape quickly (expanded) and did have a slight chemical smell that lasted for a number of hours but dissipated overnight.
All is well and I would recommend this mattress for those looking to replace an older unit.
Edit: Saw that now, need to select 12 inches foam.
