So these are the days to avoid going. haha
I worked at a state park when I was in college. It always bothered me when people would bite/scratch/claw to get into the park for free.

Not sure about national parks, but at least for the state park I worked at, the parks were theoretically self-sufficient. Meaning your tax dollars weren't supposed to be funding them, your entry/ticket price was.

So even if you get in for free, leave a donation to the park for a small amount. By way of your being there, you enjoy the parks, so don't be a free-rider.
FYI... Canada's National Parks are free for everyone ALL of 2017. article [usatoday.com]

If you in CA, good luck waiting in Crazy Traffic. I would avoid going to Park on Free day unless you walking/Biking/Camping

OK thanks for letting me know which dates not to go.

Guys just go buy the annual pass it worth the price. $80 you can bring a whole vehicle of persons to any national park/monuments/forest/historic sites etc for a whole year..

But lots people are thieving the fees anyways, hate to see that.

Edit: The pass can also be bought from REI, Backcountry.com and maybe other store/sites, if that's in your favor.
