That's a good deal for teachers. Teachers deserve more perks. They work so hard for kids.

My wife is a teacher and takes advantage of this perk every year. It's a nice one(they get Legoland, too)Warning to those unaware, the Florida park does not give an option to add parking to the teacher pass(nor can you add Busch Gardens at a discount). Not a big deal, but she has to use my parking pass when she takes our son during the week over summer break.

As an educator, I think it is important to note a few things:

1. I agree that SeaWorld's practices aren't always ethical, however it should be noted that they do a lot of rescue work and conservation work as well. Curing injured animals to release back in the wild, partnering with other nature groups, performing/supporting environmental research, etc. Plus, they no longer breed orcas. They seem to be trying to make positive changes: https://seaworldcares.com/Explore...rld-Cares/

2. Teachers do have perks, but for a reason. The stress of dealing with often over-crowded classrooms (think misbehaving kids), over-bearing parents, admins, lack of funding, job shortages/unemployment, low pay, etc. is a huge factor in why people DON'T become educators. Without those perks, there's not many teachers that could handle those everyday stresses.

3. Other jobs that should be sympathized for often either make more money, or require little to no schooling (thus low paying).

4. There's crummy teachers out there, sure, but think of the teachers that do stay after school, that take the time to connect with students, to go above and beyond their teaching duties. These teachers have a passion for their job, and despite all the stresses, still find a way to love their job. It's those teachers that we're meant to appreciate.

does anyone know if the teacher has to be there as well in order for the guest passes to work or can they just be handed over to anyone without the teacher being there.

On the eticket, it says the guest needs ID, and needs to accompany the Fun Card holder.

I've heard of it happening. They don't always check at the gate if you have someone with a teacher pass to go in. The workers see it as a ticket let you scan the paper and welcome you in.

yes they have to be there, teacher gets yr pass and gets 3 or 4 family one day vouchers free in which the teacher needs to be there to get in. in addition the first visit needs to be by may or something.

Am I reading this deal correct? The teacher gets an annual pass AND can take 2 guests for a single day? Or is this all for the teacher?
