CD/Install/Box/Desktop Deluxe Version (this deal) - can import from quicken, doesn't store your returns online. You must backup and retrieve your own files for prior year returns. Total costs around $50
Online/Web Deluxe version (turbotax.com) - can't import from bookkeeping software. You can access prior year returns on any computer. Does not require any software to be installed, all is done thru the browser. Total costs around $70

You must pay $19.99 for e-filing a state tax, go-to your state web site and find out if you qualify for for free tax e-filing.

It's one free download State and I am assuming that's the PDF version in which you print out and mail in for free otherwise pay $19.99 to efile with Turbo tax.

For those living in CA:
I was reallllly bummed that efile for state costs $19.99. However, if your tax is super simple like 540/1040 EZ, you can efile for free as long as some criteria are met. Qualifications: https://www.ftb.ca.gov/online/cal...2016.shtml

Took me less than < 15 minutes. You have to manually enter those numbers from W2 as it doesn't populate like how Turbotax populates. For those expecting refunds, it states, "Direct deposit is the fastest way to get your refund. It usually takes less than one week."

Hopes this helps some out for those who have the easy uncomplicated taxes.

Creditkarma.com has completely free tax filing for most people. Why give Intuit a penny?
