although I don't need as much minutes or text and would prefer more data.

I've been using Red Pocket for years now. 29.99 month for their unlimited talk, text, 100mb data. It's an ATT mvno, and other than slower data speeds (like all mvno's), it is plenty fast (think around 8mbps). Ive considered switching to cricket, but cannot seem to be able to cancel this, as i have no idea my account info, and Red Pocket support is all but worthless. If you do not need alot of data Red Pocket will be just fine.

Oh just thought of another thing, like alot of ATT mvno's mms messages can be spotty, sometimes it works other times it doesn't, could be that I use windows phone, and maybe the messaging app cannot read mms's from certain phone apps that people are using, I have no idea.

crap deal
How is this a crap deal? 8.25 a month for more minutes and text messages than many need. For the longest time, 500 minutes and texts was the most common cell service plan.

Their plans are generally for the whole year and don't renew each month.

The talk and text is really where the value is. Since many people connect to WiFi everywhere they go now, not as much data is needed. You can also purchase data add-ons for the months you want them starting at only $10.

This plan is on a temporary sale right now for $94.99. Also, the standard $199 plan is now on a temporary sale for $163.99 ($14/mo). That plan has 1,000 minutes, text and mb of data (500 mb @ LTE).
