Delta Airlines and American Airlines have roundtrip airfares from Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo Japan (HND) for $485 including taxes and fees. This is a nonstop flight. Hurry, google flights says this flight will increase by 37% in the the next 11 hours.
Travel availability:
Departs LAX: Mar 7-9, 13-16, 21; Apr 3-5, 11-13, 17-20, 25-27; May 1-3, 8-11, 15
Returns LAX: wide availability returning Mon/Tue/Wed/Thurs in Mar, Apr, May, June and first week of July.

My sample travel dates: May 1-11, 2017 (haha, i accidentally put in HNL in priceline and this fare to tokyo is cheaper than going to hawaii!)
