T-Mobile - Save $70 per line on top of existing T-Mobile offers

Save $70 per line at T-Mobile on top of existing T-Mobile offers (see flyer for all details). To redeem call the toll free number 844.786.2964 and mention the promo code STUDENT01.

Looks like this offer is only available via TOLL FREE NUMBER and not available online. Seems like it works for everyone since I am not a student and it worked for me! I think this only works for new lines/add a line but not entirely sure.

Any idea if this would invalidate the $150 port-in rebate (17SWITCHER) promotion?

It's "on top of" or "in addition to" so now, the two offers would stack.

I don't think so, I think you can get both but may need to confirm with the operator.

This is just the same promo everyone else is offering, but re-packaged.
Not a good deal because:
1. Cashback sites offer $50 for BYOD activations, plus SIM-only kits are only .99c if you mention it during the verification of your order
2. Cashback sites offer $75 for phone activations--you have to pay a $20 SIM fee, but it's easy to get that credited back.

Yeah, I was planning to go that route for every line after the first, heading to a store to get a 20% code on the first line.

Look at the comments on this thread - I would stay far away from this promo.

Can you elaborate on how would be the easiest way to get the $20 SIM kit fee credited back? I just recently created an account in-store and paid that fee for two lines.

Also, do the cashback sites offering $75 for activations work if I haven't purchased a phone yet but did create a new T-Mobile account in-store?

Is this a legit T-Mobile number? I find no reference to it when performing a search.

So I did my entire order online, and registered my line with a hookup code as well. I placed an order for multiple lines (BYOD + LG V20). When it came time for my order to be verified, the rep that called mentioned that BYOD SIMs were one special for 99c and made adjustments to my order. I would have prodded for the same adjustments on the V20s, but I decided to shelve that until my account was setup and I could reference the BYOD SIM prices with a chat/call billing agent.

I've heard people with success calling in for adjustments after they had their accounts set up. Not sure about in-store adjustments at time of activation, however--perhaps with a nice enough rep and multiple lines?

EDIT: Also, the days of Authorized Retailers being a good deal have been long gone--unless you're willing to put up with things like getting a new number every month so they can churn/inflate subscriber numbers.

Ok, thanks. I might try to ask the in-store rep if they can do anything about the $20 per SIM kit I've already paid for since they're 99c over the phone.

Are the cashback sites only good when getting a new account online, or will it work for phone only purchases too?
