StackSocial [stacksocial.com] has Private Internet Access VPN (2-Yr Subscription) for $50.96 when you use promo code PIA15, MSRP is $166.

Block hackers and government spies, even when you're connected to public Wi-Fi, thanks to Private Internet Access. High-level encryption ensures you'll put an end to incessant digital advertising, while IP cloaking gives you access to the Internet uncensored from anywhere. With (PIA) Private Internet Access, the only gateways to the outside Internet are the ones you open.

However, a criminal complaint filed by the FBI... notes that a subpoena sent to Private Internet Access resulted in no useful data being revealed about a suspected hoaxer," Torrent Freak

Just remember that all purchases through Stacksocial are final and nonrefundable. Only direct purchases through PIA have the 7 day money back option. ~Standupdad

This site compares roughly 175 VPN providers. I would highly recommend doing your due diligence when picking up a VPN provider.

I'm trying to find it. Here's one review I found. https://www.bestvpn.com/private-i...pn-review/
This page has a lot of great coverage of PIA but it is from PIA directly so just be aware of that. https://www.privateinternetaccess...ages/media

I'm still looking for you but I just wanted to get you an update.

Maybe I don't know what I'm doing but either via router or windows app it definitely slows down my connection.

thanks for responding... I personally dont have a official vpn use but its something worth considering if the price is right.. so far for now my DNS rocks at filtering ads and referral links etc. =)

maybe its the tunnel that's actually slow, and if you factor in an app it could potentially add to the slowness.

There is not solid answer to this question.
The speed you get depends on both the speed of the network you're connected to (routers/wireless cards), your internet speed, and your CPU speed (to do encryption/decryption).

internet speed is 282 Mbps down. technically 343Mbps but real world sheer data is 282Mbps down. Gigabit network my pcs can pull the full alotted 282 down. Im very certain this is not 200Mbps service

My speed drops to about 40mb/s, 75mb/s without the VPN. But I can still reach 75mb/s on the VPN some days. Just depends on the traffic load, your distance to the VPN servers, etc.
