This is over $2,000 at Dell.com. Cheapest I've seen on Dell.com with these specs is almost $1,800 (that's with the 10% XPS coupon that was out recently.) This is the 97 watt hour battery and while the specs don't list it, this DOES include the fingerprint reader. 4K touchscreen, 16 GB's RAM, 512 SSD (mine came with the Samsung SSD) Thunderbolt 3 (two lanes), Micro SD card reader. Micro Center loss leader?

The xps are worth the price tag of macs man. The screens are incredable, the specs are upgradable, the build quality is amazing, and the body can be dropped on cement and it will just leave a dent. No other windows laptop is that good.
You use the 4k screen for many other uses like enhanced display, photo editing, productivity, ect. You dont use the 4k screen for gaming. You set the resolution to 1080p in the game, then the 1050 is perfectly fine. Plus not everyone who wants a dedicated GPU wants it for gaming. The XPS is a productivity machine in a well built body, designed to compete with Macbooks, not gaming laptop bricks. If you are looking for high GPU power for high end gaming, youre looking in the wrong place.
Man, I really don't understand these 4k monitor laptops. QHD makes so much more sense. And to the people saying to scale it to 1080p for gaming, doesn't that just ruin the point of having a 4k monitor? You're just wasting battery life on the screen. Also, since it's a laptop, you're going to 150% or 200% scale it on Windows, so again, it makes so much more sense to make it QHD or 1080p even.

I'm a big fan of the XPS line, and it's a nice looking laptop with an awesome screen, but it doesn't seem very well configured. Who needs 4k on a 15.6" laptop? It's definitely not a gaming laptop. The price might be lower than it has been, but it's just not worth it imo.

Someone needs to come out with more thin bezel laptops and configure them properly.

wow this is cool, it looks like this should be the price for the 9550 instead of the 9560... so hopefully the orders go through!

I caught this deal last night. Placed an order in the overnight hours for in store pickup but I was hesitant to post on Slickdeals until I physically had machine in hand and the specs were truly what was advertised. This also seems like it should be pricing for the i5/8gb variant.

Plus I didn't want MC catching on to an incorrect price. (DON'T CALL THE STORE, PEOPLE! Lol)

Do you actually have it in hand yet? Im going after work today to pick mine up which the site lists as having 10+ in stock. Haven't received an email yet though confirming order is ready for pickup

Does that even have dedicated graphics? I would think build quality and specs are far superior on this machine

the 720 is the new one coming next month. will have a GTX 1050 and still retain its convertibility.

Could you please confirm whether the price listed is for the 4k touch display?
