Just discovered you can get free software packages on Amazon.

I sold some software that was new in sealed retail box to a buyer on Amazon. I shipped the item and it got to them 2 days after purchased.
That same day as delivered, they requested a return claiming 'defective'. Since I'm a 3rd party seller of the software, I am required to issue the refund whether is is new in sealed box or not. I don't understand how they can claim an activation code is defective but doesn't matter. Buyer is not required to explain or go into more detail.
You can communicate with the buyer and offer help, registration/download/activation links on the software website with instructions, but buyer has no obligation to respond or to explain what the issue is. All the buyer has to do is say the word "defective' and they are awarded a refund, hence free software.
If you do make a software purchase on Amazon, just make sure you buy from 3rd party seller, request a refund and make sure you put reason as 'defective'. That's all there is to it.....FREE SOFTWARE!!!
lol....of course I'm not advocating people actually do this, I'm actually warning anyone that are considering selling any software on Amazon to beware.

do you get the card back and can you report it stolen so that the software gets deactivated?
Buyers know this and if a item cost alot to ship it is not worth the seller to pay for return shipping so they will let the buyer keep the item and issue them a refund.
