My memory may be hazy, but it seems they started up this iteration more quickly after the last contest than usual. Kudos to you for posting the new contest only an hour after its launch! (And to think that I imagined I'd be the first to notice the new sweepstakes. Hah!) Thanks for all your time and trouble in posting the daily answers.

Quote from Lumeria :
My memory may be hazy, but it seems they started up this iteration more quickly after the last contest than usual.
FWIW, Last contest ended the 7th and this started on the 10th, a 2 day break.
The one before that ended March 24th and the next started March 27th, a 2 day break.
The one before that ended December 17th and the next started December 24th, a 6 day break.
The one before that ended August 22th and the next started August 27th, a 4 day break.

So they have taken longer in the past, just not recently. You're probably remembering the big Christmas giveaway
after which they took almost a week to start up again. I wouldn't have taken the time to dig up this information if they
had asked an original trivia question. They don't give me anything to do.Frown It's all cut and paste from the previous sweepstakes.

The early FT-101 SSB Transceiver operates as how many watts SSB?

Answer: 260

Entry page https://www.gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/

Read carefully. They were asking about the early FT-101, not the new model.

1971 FT-101 Reading https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yae...ifications

Quote :
Power Output: SSB 260 watts PEP DC In (130 watts out), CW 180 watts PEP DC In (90 watts out), AM 80 watts PEP DC In (40 watts out).

What is the supply voltage for a FTDX101MP?

Answer: 100/200V

Entry page https://www.gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/

Reading FTDX101MP/FTDX101D Operation Manual Page 115 https://static.dxengineering.com/...01d_al.pdf

The FTDX101MP rig comes with the FPS-101 External Power Supply. The FTDX101D does not.
FWIW, the INPUT of the FPS-101 External Power Supply is marked 100-240 V, 9 A, 50/60 Hz.
But the spec page of the combined operation manual says 100/200. I bet it runs on 240 V 50 Hz since they're selling it in Europe.

What was the last radio in the FT-101 Series?

Answer: FT-101F

Entry page https://www.gigaparts.net/sweepstakes/

The FT-101F was produced in 1977
The last radio in the FT-101 Series that came out in 1980 and produced until 1986 was the
FT-101ZD. but FT-101ZD is not one of the choices presented. FT-101F is the answer they want.

The 1977 FT-101FX was the last type of the original 101 series.
The 1978 FT-101Z and the 1980 FT-101ZD were a new design with the FT-101 name.
The FT-101Z/ZD used two 6146B heavy duty transmitting tubes instead of two 6JS6C television sweep tubes. The FT-101Z was an economy model with an analog scale readout. The ZD model
had a digital readout. Only the very last of the FT-101ZD, the MK2 Production runs, included the WARC bands.

The question is a little tricky and depends on what they mean by FT-101 Series.
