This is the kind of specs I'm looking for for our next computer, but I'm holding off as long as possible for prices to get lower.

Here is what I wrote for a previous post for this same model that I bought (with Core i5-6200 and 500GB 5400RPM drive). I say "minus the screen" because there are people who are super picky with the...

Not as low as they will be in a year or two. Waiting for a lower price is great when you have the time to wait. No need in being discontent with what I have now. It works, but in a year it might not....

Thanks-trackpad is a deal-killer for me. I'm not using it as a desktop replacement and don't want to lug a mouse around the house :)

Post #98425316 added 04-01-2017 3:08 PM by Slickone_ in Deal Talk
Many people say the screen is so bad, they end up returning it. Also you should be able to find one that also comes with HDD (along with the SSD), or backlit keyboard for around this price by now. ...

I recently purchased the i3 version w/ 4GB and 1TB drive for about $325 (E5-575-33BM) and upgraded to a 128GB M.2 SSD and added 4GB for $75. For the extra $70 this i5 laptop is a no brainer. The...

SSD is MUCH better and faster than HDD, so I would switch if there is a chance. Yours have a dedicated video card as an advantage, but if you don't do a lot of video editing, it's not that important...

Good find. Although, the build quality is quite poor and at 5lbs, pretty heavy by 2017 standards. Try looking up Acer Swift 3. Got one for $500, exact same specs, but at 3.3lbs.

Nonsense. If I needed a computer right now then this would be a good price, but I don't. Any true slickdealer knows that these specs will be cheaper at a later time.
