Another thing I forgot to mention about my 52" Husky box is that since the wood top is so nice, I did not want permanently mount my vise and bench grinder directly to it. Instead, Since HD does sell...

Ah, still making personal attacks rather than backing up your claim about the cheap butcher block top from IKEA for this tool chest. Typical. "Stop spreading false info."

Menards has a pretty good price for a butcher block top, but $80 plus $340 for this chest, puts the total well over double that of the Husky workbench that this was being compared to when Medic so...

That is a laminate and costs $99, which would put the cost of this toolbox plus top way over double the price of the solid-wood top Husky workbench that people were comparing this to.

Seriously. I don't have this big box but the HF "taller" one. I don't do tons of DIY or car stuff but having one place where all my tools are organized makes all the difference in the world.

I really like my HF 36" and I can't fit any larger in my garage (for now). That Husky looks really nice though. Thanks for the comparison. I think I'll take a gander this weekend for fun.

The HF is definitely better than a lot of the "normal line" stuff from most big box stores (sears included), but the Husky all black one is really nice for the price. They even had the 46" Milwaukee...

I love my 36". The quality is the best of all the big box store alternatives IMO. If you need a chest of low to mid grade and the money is right, then buy this one or the 36".

Speaking for my Stanley box that I picked up for $300 (top and bottom on a 50% off deal) the drawers are about 1" too shallow for my wrench trays to fit so I have to keep my wrenches elsewhere.
