I'm a daily matcha drinker and not really all that fussy, but here in Japan I get the bottom of the barrel stuff at the grocery and it costs $5/20g. Thats about 3 times as much as this "ceremonial...

I drink matcha every day and the lowest quality I'd go is organic Domatcha Summer/Second Harvest. $9 for 3 oz has me running. You simply can't get good matcha at that price.

A bamboo whisk is traditional, but you can definitely just use a regular spoon. A whisk is handy to prevent lumping, but it is not necessary at all.

I didn't care for this one, I am still using it but i definitely would not rebuy it. I use it to mix with my protein shakes and some splenda and the flavor is mute by comparison.

I drink matcha similar to this every afternoon in lieu of a green tea bag now. I don't have a whisk but bought a cheap milk frother. Just throw 1/4-1/2 tsp in with an inch of hot water, froth it...

This will work for me, as I am not planning on drinking it, but rather using it in a facial mask recipe. :-)

This should do the job, shouldn't it? Cheaper than an actual whisk. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B018TCWL8O/ref=psdc_14042381_t1_B013S27CLQ'

Never tried matcha but drink a lot of green tea so I thought I would give it a whirl. Am I correct that you need a bamboo whisk? Recommendations? Or is this only for smoothies, etc? Thanks!
