Yep, the MSI came with an M2 and has a spot for a 2.5. The screen is definitely not an IPS screen though. The Acer posted here has a spot for a 2.5 as well and I'm pretty certain it's an IPS screen.

yeah, gsync is a must have these days. but thermal wise it shouldn't run too hot given the efficiency of the cpu/gpu even at full load.

I'm also looking for similar uses, Premier Pro 4k editing and some Solidworks CAD. I'm seriously considering this one, anyone have comments if the 1060 will be good for this?

looking to get this as a gift for a user heavy on CAD and Video Editing as well. While I am in the belief that you'd be better off with a desktop, if you need a laptop, this is a good deal in this...

right... well... it all depends on what you want it to do, doesn't it? "best" doesn't really work well when there are so many variables. I wouldn't consider this best, for instance.

I'm looking for a sweet laptop, mainly business use. some video editing and solid specs for anything I throw at it. would this system be Overkill for business use?

Yeah, I think this would be overkill for business. This is aimed more for gamers. If you don't plan on doing any gaming then I'd probably aim for something with integrated graphics. You'll get a...

It's a solid deal but from what the critical reviews says it's a concern on thermal management and half the exhaust on the back side isn't real. Also these don't have the aeroblade 3d fans.

I was also considering the Costco Y520 deal, but going to go with this one. The 1060 performs better than 1050ti from the benchmarks I've seen. Additionally, I don't need a 2TB non-SSD. The Costco...
