i just happened to be in walmart today looking for 2 chromebooks. I scanned the tag doing "research" and it said $45. I was like wow.
When CSR rang up item came up as $169. Doh!

I was able to get this one, I went to a different Walmart to get the Asus one and it was on display but they wouldn't sell me the display....it must vary by store....the store manager let me buy this...

From my experience today there are 2 models under the same UPC. The 2 GB is $45, the 4 GB model is $189. Sucks because I too drove 40 mins RT because both Brickseeker and the associates saw available...

I've never had any luck even with them in stock in Columbus, OH. The asterisk next to an item showing stock on hand actually means it's been sent back and it's not in the store or it's in the process...
