If you do a lot of pocket hole then I would say that upgrading from a R3 is worth it. I am not sure if this Porter Cable Pocket hole kit would be worth it but I upgraded to the K5 Master system with...

Wait, you are comparing this $200 product to kreg's $40 product? Why not compare it to the kreg K5 master system which is So much more convenient than the R3.

Both have their purposes. R3 (or even the mini) is a great when you can't bring the workpiece to your jig (big pieces or fixed location).

I was asked how the 560 compares to the R3 by the guy I replied to, so that's what I did. I know they are two different class of tools.

i got the kreg r3. i hardly use it due to convenience. do you find yourself using this often BECAUSE it's convenient? or just cause you want pocket holes?

It's become my go-to pocket hole jig, mostly because it auto adjusts completely so you just stick the wood in, twist the clamp, and drill. The R3 isn't too bad, but requires clamping it to the wood,...
