Because it's a different technology. Nvme is a jump from sata. Although it's 3-5x faster than a regular ssd, it's not as noticeable as a jump from hdd to ssd

just a heads up. if you are out of sata ports you probably cant use a sata m.2. most main boards share a sata plug with the m.2 sata so you will not be able to use the sata m.2 card without giving up...

Well if you needed endurance say for a turning it into a cashe drive for a DIY server. Also with these prices you are paying less. So not bad:). Also these have more usable space than the EVO.
