The rears will works just fine as rears mounted to the sides of the couch. The ideal is having speakers a few feet behind you, but that's not realistic outside of dedicated home theater spaces....

You can angle the tweeter. That should be sufficient. Unless mounting them more than a approx 4 feet from your listening position that should be fine. Otherwise an angled woofer and tweeter speaker...
