I have 1 about an year and have it in my busy kitchen. Mine has a dc option but I didn't buy the plug and went with batteries. I got like a 12 pack of batteries because I would have to change it out....

Thanks! Got one from Costco today, and like it! Only pity is that the Costco version doesn't have a DC input port. So have to hard wire the battery terminals. Correct me if i'm wrong?
