Just tried this code and it's not much better than the long working WGSPECIAL. The final price is almost the same. Unless you don't need privacy protection, this isn't much of a deal imo...

SSL support isn't up to the registrar, it's up to the server it points to. I use Let's Encrypt with a namecheap domain, works great.

Yeah I've been using namesilo. It's a lot easier to stick with a domain host that consistently has this price than jumping to a different one each year to keep up with the coupons.

That's possible, I've always just used GetSSL on my server to update my let's encrypt cert. That way you don't have to rely on a registrar's integration of LE. It also let's you change registrars...
