Why get this when there's one with a 1060 for $816 right now? The 1050 should be a lot cheaper than the 1050ti, so this isn't a good price. And an i7 isn't for gaming.

If this laptop wasn't maxed out spec-wise (outside of the dGPU), this would not be a good deal. It's hard to find a laptop with the i7-7700hq / 16GB / 512GB SSD at this price, regardless of dGPU. ...

it'll "work", but the gpu here is coming under the minimum requirement for VR. not by much tho. you can always reduce the supersampling to like 0.8 or whatever
