I still use a single drop of Dawn Platinum on my Lodge 12", doesn't strip the seasoning at all. I also use canola oil if it needs the occasional reseasoning.

I have this and it is by far the best way to clean cast iron. I've used kosher salt, lodge scrapers, etc. This beats all of them and its not close.
