Absolutely love this blender! I’ve had a vitamix in the past and the blendtec (+wildside jar) works so much better at making smoothies from chopped veggies/fruit.

I also got the eBay deal almost a year ago for $189. And my refurbished model still came with a 7 year warranty. And the wild side jar is better that the 4 side. I use mine every weekend

In before "I can get a ninja for $1, this is way too much for a blender". I've had my blendtec for several years without a single issue. I bet it would blend rocks. Nothing has phased it.

Just an FYI this one is new and has an 8 year warranty and the one from eBay is refurbished and has a 3 year warranty. It just depends if you think it is worth the extended warranty.
