No. Just clone the HDD to SDD. There's many free software. YouTube for tutorials. Compare to Dell, it doesn't really have much bloatware.

I did not recall clearly, but it seems no screw for m.2, however, there are several for HDD in the laptop, you can use one of them for m.2.

I put an ssd in, has another slot for memory and an m.2 slot, or at least that it says ssd on the board and is a small skinny slot. Not easy to get it open but an ssd was worth it.

anyone get an nvme m2 installed on this? i tried to install the samsung 960 evo, but it just got super hot and started to feel like it was going to smoke. bios did not see the drive either.
