Even if support is dropped, the app will still work for a while. Perhaps a very long while. IOS can and does run old legacy apps. Usually it is the app that requires a newer IOS, not the other way...

as others have mentioned this is nothing more than a re-badged Chamberlain / Lift-master unit. however you must use the craftsman app with this (not the chamberlain app) so it is very feasible...
