I thought about getting the Rebel but went with the a6000 instead. Very versatile camera in a much smaller package.. IMO the Alpha is the better one. This deal however is not so great..

a6000 is a mirrorless so it has a better view finder, it also has a higher continuous shots so it is good for shooting moving subjects
