I tried 3.5 to trs on my pc.... too much noise. Cheap hosa balanced trs cables, behringer umc22 dac, lsr305's, and a dayton audio sub800. I get amazing results.

Um, what? Balanced cables aren't necessary unless you're using longer ones or have stronger than average sources of interference nearby. They certainly don't eliminate noise that's already there.

Coming from the A5s, these are much better. I was always slightly disappointed that i had to use EQ with the A5s, to get rid of that mid-bass hump. The LSR305s sound so much better and clearer to me....
