Will this disqualify me from the Rewards?
Post #109795875 added 12-18-2017 8:55 AM by xlnc in Deal Talk
No, but it will reduce your rewards payout. You'll get back only what you pay out of pocket (excluding sales tax & shipping).

Cause you can get a 32 pack of Duracell batteries for 20-25 dollars. So why would you buy 16 at an inflated price to be able to get rewards that don't stretch as much as other stores? My beef is...

here is the math, if you spend all your money on buying more batteries with the reward (tax not included): Office Depot $16 for 16, with $16 back in rewards that is used to buy another 16...

Post #109842931 added 12-19-2017 12:42 AM by badboy2man in Deal Talk
I do know that. I just meant, next time is your turn to pay for membership as primary cardholder, and any of your bro (or anyone else you pick) to have a 'household card' for free, haha.
Post #109715583 added 12-16-2017 6:24 PM by xlnc in Deal Talk
... and how much of that do you get back in rewards?
Post #109726391 added 12-17-2017 12:27 AM by eversavage in Deal Talk
Woot more stamps
Post #109842727 added 12-19-2017 12:32 AM by badboy2man in Deal Talk
Hope, on the next annual renewal, you'll be the primary cardholder (means you'll pay for the membership), and your bro is the household one, LoL :lmao:

my bro resides in another state . . . the advantage of costco is that one does not have to be related to split the membership (in the case of sams club one has to the a spouse). .
Post #109762863 added 12-17-2017 4:22 PM by badboy2man in Deal Talk
Should factor in Costco membership fee. With HF, batteries are not free outright, but with a purchase - whatever it is. BTW, the OD 20% off coupon brings down per single battery price, LoL

how fast do you get your points, in order for you to be able to spend them again and again on same deal? . .
Post #109727287 added 12-17-2017 1:19 AM by RazorConcepts in Deal Talk
The official terms say that you won't receive rewards if you pay in rewards (see note 4 in the OP).

Yep. If you want battery leakage in your remotes and flashlights, these will get the job done.
Post #109764339 added 12-17-2017 4:59 PM by 80is in Deal Talk
yes, i did indicate that one needs to have a membership cost . . . friends/relatives . . . free. with OD one must also consider that the store can fold at anytime. with costco one also gets 3 year...

In a retail monetary system, an office depot dollar is probably worth 40 cents! Do people even look at purchasing power when they start getting excited about rewards money?!
Post #109726171 added 12-17-2017 12:17 AM by abercrombieboy in Deal Talk
I have been rolling this for a while. But my last two purchases where I used my Rewards, I did not get my Reward Certificate. So I don't know if they have tightened up on use of Rewards to pay for...

Exactly my point!! What good is the stupid rewards for when you get 3 times the number of batteries at Costco for less!! Some people just don't get it!!

In a retail monetary system? If you are that smart why are you shopping on slickdeals? Even if what you say is true about the 40 cents on a dollar (I would put it more like 60 cents on the dollar)...

Not to mention, one may have a credit card that gives 5% cashback for purchases made at office suppliers; vs 2% Costco citi card. And, smaller packs of batteries would be more suitable as gifts...
