Roasted coffee beans should be used within 2-3 weeks of roasting. That's if you care about fresh coffee. Most store bought beans are months old.

Yes, we use the Gran Crema. We've tried about 20-30 coffee variations, and this is our favorite. Using La Spaziale machine, with a La Pavoni grinder.

Just an FYI. Amazon is excellent with complaints about coffee. I don't pay for old, stale, open, or otherwise gross tasting coffee. As long as you don't abuse it they issue credits everytime.
