According to the manual, you need a charger that supports the 20V@2A profile, so 40W minimum. I think I'll go that route to work around the flimsy power connector

Dell is offering a Inspiron 13 7000 which has an i5-8250, 256GB SSD and 8GB DDR4 for $700. $100 less, 8th gen processor for a pound heavier seems like a good trade-off to me.
