Yes if you already have the smart things hub then you don't need the urlhasbeenblocked hub and your money would be better spent on more bulbs.

I can confirm these work with SmartThings without the hub. You can dim and adjust color temp etc... I have 6 of them from the last deal and want more but I’m going to hold out for replacement...

the 3-pack does NOT have a pack so it's not recommended as a starter pack unless you already have a hub that is compatible with urlhasbeenblocked. I bought the color bulbs and added some non-color bulbs....

You only use the QR Codes for the urlhasbeenblocked Hub. EchoPlus and SmartThings detect the bulbs wirelessly. Suprisingly, the urlhasbeenblocked Hub does not do this (you have to scan the codes or enter in the MAC...

I would suggest getting the Samsung Smart Things hub. I have both Echo and Google home devices and these bulbs work with both using the Smart Things Hub, in which case getting the 3 pack is a better...

Nice deal but already have the WinK 2 hub which works great. I got in on a lighting deal before Xmas that included 3 Element Plus WiFi bulbs for ~$20. Love the bulbs, great temperature control.
