30% is the WORSE case scenario where they specifically drilled the cpu through a loop back of i/o which would never occur in a normal use case scenario. 5% is the expected overhead for normal tasks....

Stop spreading misinformation. Go look at the newest round of post-patch benchmarks. The only hit observed was to NVME SSD's, specifically 4k reads.
