Thank god. Smart apps on BR players are such a sub paltry experience - slow, choppy and not enough memory to retain more than a dozen channels. Almost as bad as most TVs. I'll take my Roku over...

The spec says the unit supports NTSC - PAL conversion . I tried with Region 5 dvd in PAL format and it played successfully. Looks like its a dvd region free player. Not sure about bluray though....

Same purchase here . Mine is quite and has played everything so far including backed-up blurays . Definity beats my older Panasonic (BD85) and Samsung (E5300) blu players in much faster load times...
