Gotta chime in on this deal. Fantastic book. Definitely worth a read. As it is clearly an allegory for WWII, it's probably a bit scary for elementary schoolers--should be suitable for high schoolers...

I read this in the summer between 7th and 8th grade but I knew of it for years before and never read it bec as a comic I assume it was for kids. Boy was I wrong..... Masterful.

High schoolers would be a good fit. Maybe some middle schoolers. I would keep it away from kids in the early teens. There are depictions/descriptions of violence/torture, occasional sexual themes...
