for future reference, i can barely get over it without taking it down. I'm 5'9". if you're much shorter, it will be very difficult to get over without taking it down.

This doesn’t seem to open up like a lot of other gates. Is 28” too high for a shorter person to step over? Or does the whole gate have to be taken down for each passing?

If it's a baby human, probably, seeing as there is one in the pictures. A baby gorilla might be an issue. :)
