I'll preface this with the fact that I'm fully aware it's a capacitor discharge that powers the bulb, and the batteries are what charge the capacitor. Now on to how godox rates their recycle...

BTW, I got mine last night thanks to Adorma super fast shipping (the box has label VIP360, whatever it means :-). The flash is really nice, not any bigger than my Yongnuo YN-468, the charger even has...

I don't know why internal resistance even matter in this case. The specs says it's faster on the li-ion cycles times, plain and simple. You seem to have extreme bias towards nimh so you concluded...

It doesn't work for my canon speedlite but they probably mean if you buy any godox flash (or rebranded godox like this flashpoint) regardless if its a flash for canon, sony, nikon, etc. they should...

Any flash will work with any camera, that's how it was designed from decades ago. However, it will only fire them, they will not have all the "new" functions such as TTL, master/slave groups, etc...

If you don't need the Li-on battery, look for the Godox TT685, it's only $110. Neewer is just a reseller company, they rebrand from many manufacturers including Godox. I'd say that if it looks...

Yeah, that's weird. The Flashpoint brand has 500+ reviews on Adorama, whereas the Godox-branded on Amazon barely has any reviews.

This plus 2 of the manual R2 Flashpoints = some sweet Strobist photos for the price of one Speedlight from Nikon or Canon.

Replying to old thread hoping someone might know. I seem to remember there was a gift card for this deal in addition to the trigger, was that just my imagination? Maybe I was looking at the BH...

ah I see. So I can't just buy a Godox receiver for a Canon flash and use a transmitter for Sony and expect TTL to work. Good to know!

A simple $17 RF transmitter and receiver set accepts any flashes mounted on them. http://www.cowboystudio.com/product_p/npt-04.htm Reliable wireless but in manual mode only, not TTL. Is there...

I was waiting for a sale on TT350F but reluctant as reviews mentioned it's underpowered, but I really want the X1T-F wireless transmitter. This is a rather good deal as Godox flashes are rarely on...

Did this let you use TTL without issue entirely? Any issues with High Speed Sync? Are you using an A7r2?

Excellent price for better than 1st party quality.

You can not find one that use lithium battery for $110 for sure, check the model number, as the flashpoint rebrand have similar model numbers for V860II and TT685

The Godox trigger will trigger all Godox flashes regardless if it’s Sony, canon, Nikon, etc. I eventually added a Godox Flash and the trigger can control both my canon speedlite and Godox Flash...

Interesting question. I have no knowledge of this, but would guess that yes, you can probably do that. It seems the Canon trigger just translates the signal from the Canon body to the...

This flash, without the $46 transmitter, is $110 at Amazon. Am I missing something? Speaking of missing something, I have the "small" transmitter for my Fuji and the "pro" for my Nikon. The pro...

Yes, that would work. That's an advantage that Godox advertises. All the Godox flashes and transmittter talk the same language/protocol. The hotshoe interface is camera-specific, but it's translated...

Post #111162507 added 01-18-2018 6:38 PM by rcboosted in Deal Talk
hmm, but isn't this what Godox is advertising that they can do? I guess they just meant manual, no TTL when used across brands? I decided to go with Sony mount on both flash and transmitter. I...

I don't get how this is a deal, either.
Post #111133455 added 01-18-2018 6:50 AM by sillyxone in Deal Talk
$110 is the TT685, which is basically the same as this one except it uses AA batteries instead of Li-on. Some prefers AA, but the Li-on definitely has its advantages (higher capacity per...

Any flash sitting on top of my X-T20 will tip off its balance. I've used a Yongnuo YN-468 on my Nikon D5500 and it's OK, but the X-T20 is too small, thus, I really want to have only the X1T wireless...
Post #111148503 added 01-18-2018 12:19 PM by rcboosted in Deal Talk
Good to hear that it works. Now I'm thinking about the scenario of how I'd use it. If I do this, I won't be able to remote trigger from the Sony body. I gain the ability to use the Canon body to...

I think li-on have a higher steady state voltage even if rated similar to an alkaline baseline. But both li-on and alkaline have higher internal resistances than nimh, which make nimh better for...

In the links you posted they say so in the advertising material And like I said, the batteries have different times based on temperature and drain.
Post #111173815 added 01-19-2018 5:35 AM by elnino2783 in Deal Talk
Based on the battery tech (li-on) this flash probably has slower than average recycle time than a flash with ni-mh batteries. Might not be an issue if you're not taking quick successive shots.
Post #111177767 added 01-19-2018 7:32 AM by sillyxone in Deal Talk
You really have problem with reading. 0.1-2.6s means if the previous flash only uses a fraction of the charged power, then the next flash, if doesn't need full charge can fire within 0.1s. However,...

IF I understand this correctly using different cameras requires different pattern on the hotshoe so that TTL works correctly. Using a different branded camera may not ground correctly (although rare...

And actually, they probably do need different circuitry for the li-on battery because it's 11v, which is a lot higher than 4 AA'S. Not to mention the additional protections needed for li-on...

Just check out the reviews, this flash is faster than any similar AA battery ones by a large margin. If you ever use a flash powered by AA and the V860II side by side you will know what I'm talking...
