Playing MQA tracks on a non MQA dac sounds bad. I have tried this a first gen Dragonfly. Normal Tidal tracks sounds better.

Agreed. This is what annoys me about Tidal. Their main page are all rap music. If you go click the top hits, they're all rap.

You can set it to where you have normal SQ instead HIFI (meaning less data usage) when on LTE but HIFI when connected via Wifi.

My point is that you were wasting your data on the hi fi music anyway, even if you were playing in ideal conditions. But you can set your music to lower quality when you're in the car.
