Regardless of surge protector brand, I think most connected equipment insurance claims get denied. It's hard to prove damage was caused by a surge, and you're relying on the surge protector...

A timer switched outlet (or smart outlet) would be more efficient for half of the uses people have stated in this thread. I'd recommend a digital one (less noisy) over the old school round pin type....
