The specs show they are close. The EVO is a little better, but the lowest price for the EVO is ~$700, at which point you could buy two of these Micron drives and still pocket $100. Samsung EVO...

So.. you are going to write and rewrite your drive more than 200 times? If so then yes get an MLC drive. I think the average consumer will write much less than 400TB to a 2TB drive over a few years....
